Holidaying on these lovely beaches is just full of fun and frolic. Tourists from various parts of the world visit these Indian beaches to getaway from the cold weather in their respective countries.</p>
<p>India  has a coastline of about  6,000 km thus providing space for some of the world&#8217;s lovely beaches. The sun, sand and the sea are an attraction for the people, who would like to spend their precious moments on these beaches. Let us have a look at some of the popular beaches in India.</p>

<li><b>Beaches in Goa</b> &#8211; The beaches in Goa are some of the best beaches in the world. These palm fringed beaches have an array of hotels and restaurants for the comfort of the visiting tourists. The weather is simply gorgeous. People from the West can get away from the cold weather in their countries by visiting Goa in the winter months. One can come across Portuguese cathedrals, churches, and fantastic snack bars for good food. The Chapora beach, the Calangute beach as well as its twin beach Candolim are very popular. Moving on 4 kms from Panjim is a tiny beach known as Gaspar Dias which almost unknown to non &#8211; Goans and is not very safe for swimming. Then there is Dona Paula, which has the ruins of the Fort Cabo. Another famous beach of Goa is the Anjuna beach.</li>
<li><b>Andaman and Nicobar beaches</b> &#8211; These beaches are full of luscious green vegetation, ravishing reefs, fascinating forests, swaying coconut canopies and gentle sea breeze blowing all around. Sounds fantastic. One can have a gala time here.</li>
<li><b>Lakshadweep Beaches</b> &#8211; One comes across coconut canopies swaying in the wind, sunshine that soothes your nerves, and beautiful blue waters. The time spent here is worth every penny that you may have spent on your stay.</li>
<li><b>Daman and Diu beaches</b> &#8211; These beaches are very popular, which include the Nagoa beach, the Devka and Jampore beach. The Nagoa beach is palm fringed and is a lovely beach to visit. Devka beach is an unspoiled beach with a shore line that happens to be quite long for one to walk and spend precious moments.</li>
<li><b>Mumbai Beaches</b> &#8211;  Some of the sprawling Juhu  beach is quite an attraction in Mumbai. It is in an affluent area of Mumbai. Many Bollywood celebrities, that is Indian cine stars have houses located near it. The Versova beach is situated in the suburban Andheri. The Chowpathy Beach  adjacent to Marine Drive is very popular with the public.</li>
<li><b>Beaches in Tamilnadu</b> &#8211; Some of the popular beaches of Chennai are Covelong beach, which is situated 40 kms form Chennai. Then there is the Mamallapuram Beaches situated 58 kms from Chennai.</li>
<li><b>Vishakhapatnam Beaches</b> &#8211; These are popular for their serenity and natural beauty. They are less crowded and are popular for leisure activities and weather sports. People love lazing out in the sun at the beaches and spending their holidays over there. The Rishikonda beach and Ramakrishna beaches are very well visited.</li>

<p>Beaches in India are indeed a tourists&#8217; delight. It is fun to be at the beach and enjoy the watching the waves. Children and adults both like to spend their holidays at these beaches.</p>
